Kiskeya Ferme in Collaboration with Erold Saint Louis Founder and CEO of KreyòLab

Kiskeya Ferme is a social enterprise with a mission to support rural economic development, help reduce rural migration while contributing to Haiti’s food security. Located in Petite Rivière in Leogâne, the farm grows tilapia, fruits, vegetables and breed native poultry. Kiskeya Guest House is a modern environmentally friendly solar powered guest house nested on a 2-acre secure compound within the farm. Its mission is to promote local tourism and the Haitian culture while facilitating cross-cultural exchange and providing opportunities for our guests to contribute to a sustainable Haiti.
We are pleased to announce a collaboration with Erold Saint Louis (also known as Vye Ewòl), Founder and CEO of KreyòLab to lead our Haitian Creole and Cultural immersion program in Leogane, Haiti. A native of Leogâne, Mr. Saint Louis immigrated to the United States and graduated from Shimer College, The Great Books College of Chicago. He is an artist, dancer, sociocultural activist, poet and author of Bonnanj Pwezi, Vers et Prose de Jeneusse and most recently TOUTOUNI. He created KreyòLab, www.kreyolab.com, a web based platform with a mission to preserve and promote the cultural legacy through the Haitian Kreyol language.

Course Fee: $400 (U.S) for 2 weeks
Course structure: 4 hours of formal didactic Haitian Creole sessions will be held Monday through Saturday followed by informal Haitian Creole conversation throughout the day and evenings. Participants may volunteer in a medical clinic located on the farm or get involved in farming activities, participate youth activities or community projects to put their acquired language into application.
Lodging : Kiskeya Guest House
$600 for 2 weeks which include three meals a day, laundry, in-house cultural activities, airport pick up and drop off.
